STUDY LOAD
Unit Load
Academic credit is measured and awarded by term units. The
unit value of each course offered by the college is specified in
the course description in the catalog, which notes the units
to be awarded upon successful completion of the course. A
full-time student normally enrolls in 12 or more units during a
regular semester.
Unit Overload
No student is permitted to enroll in more than 19, but up to 22
term units without approval of a Contra Costa College counselor
(SSC-108). To enroll in more than 22 units you must have approval
from a dean.
