REMEDIAL COURSE LIMIT

By state law, students are allowed a maximum of 30 units of
remedial course work. Remedial courses are non-degree applicable
credit, basic skills courses. The 30-unit limit includes all
remedial courses taken at any of the three community colleges
within the Contra Costa Community College District. A student
who has reached the 30-unit limit may appeal for a waiver from
the basic skills coordinator. Students enrolled in ESL courses
or who are officially identified as having a learning disability are
exempt from the 30-unit limit.
