What is PACE?

PACE stands for “Program for Adult and Continuing Education” and is an alternately scheduled set of classes for those who work during the day.  PACE offers night courses, online courses, telecourses, and Saturday courses.  Taking these classes allows working professionals to complete an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Liberal Arts in five-and-a-half semesters if they take 11-13 units per semester.  But PACE is flexible, so you can take as few or as many units per semester (within college guidelines) as you wish.  Earning an AA degree in Liberal Arts through the PACE program will also allow you to satisfy all general education (GE) requirements to transfer as a junior to a CSU, UC, or private college, where you will pursue the final two years of your college education and graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in your chosen major.
