You have many choices: Music Appreciation, Pop/Rock/Jazz Origins, Electronic Music Synthesizers and Computers, Music Pedagogy for Young Children (a course for those who want to share music with children), Guitar, Piano, Voice, Jazz and Rock Improvisation, Small Instrumental and Vocal Ensembles (Music 195), Choral Experiences, and Symphony Orchestra.
Earning a degree from CCC?
By successfully completing certain music classes, you can fulfill the Arts and Humanities Requirement (Area C), the Additional Courses Requirement(Area E), the Cultural Pluralism Requirement (Area K), and/or the Electives Requirement (Area M). Enrolled in Middle College High School?
This is a collaborative effort between the West Contra Costa Unified School District and Contra Costa College. You may be interested in enrolling in the music classes that we offer.
College For Kids
During the summer, Contra Costa College offers an enrichment program for students in grades 2-10. Schedules are available after May 1 of each year. Check it out- there may be a music class just for you!
