- HPC is High Performance Computing. It refers to the fastest computing at the current point in time. Right now that means PC Clusters.
- Extreme IT means the specialized system administration knowledge necessary to maintain HPC computer centers.
- CCC trains people to perform system, network and security administration of PC clusters.

Robotics Boot Camp for High school math/science teachers August 8-10 at CCC
Lawrence Berkeley Lab (LBL) reported on the CCC Women in Technology focus group which took place June 2nd, 2005 at Contra Costa College.

Our program is part of the National Center of Excellence for High Performance Computing Technology (NCEHPCT), created and funded by the National Science Foundation (NSF). The NCEHPCT is a consortium of CCC and three other colleges:
