No matter who you are, where you work, what you do, or how old you are, you can benefit from developing computer skills. Our program is structured such that you can take a limited number of selected basic skills classes, or elect to complete one of our five majors: Our certificated programs are designed to provide you with a professional level competence in a number of important microcomputer skill areas. The curriculum includes courses which provide extensive hands-on experience with up-to-date microcomputer equipment, and programs. Essential job related skills are stressed in all classes and courses are continuously updated to reflect current technology. Current events in the microcomputer field will be routinely discussed in all courses required in this program. Some possible careers: Computer operator, data entry operator, secretary, computer programmer, microcomputer operator, word processor, computer resource technician, systems analyst, database administrator, database design analyst and network engineer. Recent data provided by the Alameda and Contra Costa Counties lists CIS Managers, Software Engineers/Applications, Software Engineers/Systems Software and Computer Support Specialists as being among the top 100 occupations in the East Bay with salaries ranging from $53,844 to $107,238.00 per year. |
