Kennedy King Memorial Scholarship Fund - Kennedy King Scholarship
Founded in memory of Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr. and Senator Robert F. Kennedy in 1968, we provide $8000 college scholarships to students from minority groups under-represented at California's four-year colleges and universities with financial need and who have demonstrated academic success at one of the three community colleges in Contra Costa County.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation - Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship
The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship makes it possible for the nation’s top community college students to complete their bachelor’s degrees by transferring to a four-year college or university. The Foundation provides up to $30,000 per year to each of approximately 75 deserving students selected annually, making it the largest private scholarship for two-year and community college transfer students in the country.

Assistance League of Diablo Valley - Community College Student Scholarship
Community College graduate transferring to junior level status at a four-year college or university Need a minimum grade point average of 3.0. Community Involvement, Resident of Contra Costa County, California, and Financial need.

Auxiliary to the National Medical Association, INC - Lela Duffel Morris Scholarship
Student Currently enrolled in a nursing and/or public health program. Must have a Minimum cumulative GPA 3.0, be African American Student, Active participation in school and/or community activities, Demonstrate Leadership skills, and Two letters of recommendation at least one must be from Faculty/Academic.
Amount: $2,000
Application must be obtained from school Counselor, college Financial Aid Officer, or a member of the Auxiliary to the National Medical Association.

California Nurses Association - Region 9 Martha Horton Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is intended to support those accepted for admission to a 2 year accredited Associate Degree Nursing Program and planning to complete the degree program within two years. Applicants must live in Marin, Sonoma, Napa, Humboldt, Mendocino, Contra Costa, or Solano counties.

California Strawberries - California Strawberry Scholarship
For Children of strew berry farmers workers. First-time applicants must have a parent that is currently employed as a California strawberry fieldworker. Must be enrolled full-time in a trade school, community college, four-year university, or graduate/professional program during the period for which scholarship is requested. Maintain a Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.0 or greater.
Amount: $400 to $5,000, based on merit, and can be renewed annually.

Doctors Medical Center - Carol Welsh Memorial Scholarship
The scholarship is to help students with tuition and books that are pursuing a career in medicine or a health-related field. Applicant must prove permanent residence in West Contra Costa County, and citizen of the United States. An in person interview with the Scholarship Committee will be scheduled with all final candidates. Application must include: School transcripts showing at least 3.5 GPA, Personal easy of 500 words, letter of recommendation, and your resume.

Golden Gate Restaurant Association - Golden Gate Restaurant Association Scholarship
Student applications for awards are judged on the basis of commitment to pursuing a career in the restaurant or hospitality industry, need, personal merit, and evidence of ability to benefit from additional training.
Applications and guidelines are distributed each year beginning January 1. Deadline for submission of the application to the GGRASF Office is April 30.

LIFE: A Nonprofit Organization - The LIFE Lessons Scholarship
College and college bound students, ages 17-24 who have suffered the death of a parent or guardian. Can enter two ways by Essay (500 words max) or by Video (3mins max). The essay and video should explain how the lack of adequate life insurance coverage (or no coverage at all) impacted your family’s finances and the ability to fund college cost.

Marconi Civic Club - Cabrillo College-Fred Moro & Batista "Lily" Ghio Memorial Scholarship
Applicants must complete 9 units each semester, maintain a minimum 3.0 grade point average for all Cabrillo College work and be of Italian descent. Attach a one page statement regarding your academic objectives, future goals, and aspirations. Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation and Cabrillo College Transcripts.
